Your plan starts automatically on the billing cycle you chose at checkout, monthly or annual, at the price shown there. When the trial begins we email you the date and the amount of that first charge, so nothing arrives as a surprise.

Yes. Cancel from Settings, then Billing inside the app. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
